Lights in New Plymouth, New Zealand
After we conquered Mordor yesterday, we had a more relaxed day today, that ended with shining light, and Vicky not feeling too well
We both felt a little sour in the muscles after yesterdays mountain climb on Mordor. Especially the devil’s staircase on Tongariro will be remembered for long in knees and legs. So today, we went from Tongariro to New Plymouth. We checked in in the Nice Hotel (yes, THE Nice Hotel) , had a lazy walk in the town and went to the light festival at night. Our pictures of that festival can be found on Koen’s Flickr page and on Facebook.
Sadly, by the end of the day, Vicky became ill. We had a quick bite at a café in the Center of New Plymouth at noon and the freshness thereof is apparently questionable. Hope she will be better soon, but now she’s feeling really bad.
