Travel to Mexico
For many people in the USA, Mexico is a close-to-home destination.
Negative travel advice by the US Government for Mexico
Update 8/2017: In the summer of 2017, the US State Department issued a travel warning for Mexico. That included very popular destinations. Cancun, Cozumel, the Mayan coast with Tulum and the Cenotes, and so on.
The many people who asked me where to go diving, taking the travel warning for Mexico into account, I advise to travel to Costa Rica.
Those of you that ignore that travel warning for Mexico, have a look at my articles about Mexico:
The articles on Boarding Today about our travel in mexico:
Mexico isn’t as cheap as one would expect/hope. But some things are free. Snorkeling in Akumal, and swimming with turtles, is!
Diving in the Cenotes in Mexico was at the same time my first scuba dive in a cavern and the first in fresh water. Since I started diving, I had only been diving in salt water. And what a great environment to experience this.
