Boarding Today: Adventure travel & Photography
Boarding Today, an initiative by Koen Blanquart, brings back experiences and images from unique journeys. In the magazine, we tell the stories of where we have been. At the same time, we seek to take you along on our next trips. The magazine groups the travel stories and the future travels, or you can start dreaming.
We love adventure travel. But staying somewhere to be part of the place is as important. A location-independent lifestyle includes the opportunity to find (temporary) bases where working and traveling is combined. Some call it workation, others say it’s holidork. We call it life.
And when we are on a journey, we like to tell you about our adventures. To get you dreaming about new locations, to make it feel you’re virtual with us. But also to understand what resonates, where we can take you in real life one day! Nature photography is best enjoyed when sharing views.
Digital Nomads
We work most of the time when we’re on the road. And we are traveling often when we are doing ‘our job’. Adventure travel isn’t done at home only. Our home is where we can plug in our laptops. So we are not only living all the experiences we keep on reporting about, but it also creates a ton of insight into the Digital Nomad lifestyle. We’re happy to share these observations here with you, and in the documentary that we’re preparing.
In 2021, Koen published a management book on remote work. The Dutch version, titled “Thuisvoordeel” was published by Pelckmans Publishers, as was the French version “Bureau à portée de main“. The English (Suitcase Office) version is expected on October 24, 2022

We LOVE traveling by train. In the recent past, Koen traveled by railway the Trans Siberian and Trans Mongolian Railway, rode across Vietnam and from Thailand to Singapore. Adventure travel by train is unlike any other journey. We are currently planning more train travel in Eastern Europe as well as in Africa.
