The Vernadsky Base, on the Antarctic Peninsula, is the most active scientific base I had the honor of visiting during my trip to Antarctica. It’s unlike any other base I’ve seen there!
2016 Antarctica Expedition
In 2016, Koen went to Antarctica, on a small sailboat. During a month, the crew sailed around the Southwest part of Antarctica. One of the tangible results is Koen’s first photobook.
2017 Antarctica Expedition
Koen is working on a 2017 expedition (2016-2017 winter, or 2017-2018 winter). More details will come very soon. The expedition will have 6 places for photo-amateurs to come with us and sail from the Southern tip of Argentina to Antarctica. The trip will take between 25 and 28 days (to be announced in the next weeks).
